Democracy Wheel Turns
eyesore, nimbyistcally objective
earsore, most people haven't heard of
glidersoar, minimal and manageable
council officers did what council officers do
experts fought off counter-experts
speakers sought free speech
councillors swore blind no party line
one claimed climate change eclipses terrorism threat
all got tired and tetchy
but Vesta curried favour in the end
not taking Bonus misses opportunity
”We'll have that for afters” supporters whisper !
Government ‘call it in’?
it's not a child playing out late in the park
this is the future, stark
stop straddling the landscaped fence
get comfortable in evergreen energy glades
snuggle up to those purring turbine blades
eyesore
earsore
glidersoar
wind awe
